Fraudsters Under the Guise of Ring Stone Arrested

For the people, especially for the collector of ring stone or batu akik (agate), it would be better to always be cautious and vigilant. This is because, the ranks of Penjaringan Sector Police have recently uncovered fraud action and the motorcycle deprivation under the guise of stone ring.

"The victim was told to leave all the belongings and walk as far as 100-500 steps. When the victim is away, perpetrators instantly fled and stole the victim's belongings," said Chief of Penjaringan Sector Police, Adj. Sr. Cmr. Kus Subiantoro, Sunday (9/7).

The perpetrator is consisting of four people and often act in some locations in North Jakarta, East Jakarta and Central Jakarta. In the action, they are quite reckless, because fraud auction that lasted about 10 minutes was always done at the edge of the road at around 12-6 PM.

"We received a report from the public. After doing investigation, we have secured one perpetrator initials HR a.k.a Aco (20). While three others, BY, PL, and BD, are still being hunted," he stated.

Police officers found a shelter to accommodate motorcycle in the rented house in Cilincing area. Around nine motorcycles and money worth Rp 2 million were confiscated as evidence.

The perpetrator will be charged under article of Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of more than 4 years.
